Day 1 Arrival
Today, we travel to Wemyss Bay from where we take the ferry to Rothesay, arriving at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Mount Stuart & Scenic Tour to Rothesay 10 mile round trip
This morning we make our way to the neo-gothic Mount Stuart House and Gardens, one of the most technologically advanced houses of its age. Set in 300 acres of grounds that include designed gardens, woodland and coast, the house is home to the noted Bute Collection of artwork and artefacts which includes British portraiture from the 18th and 19th centuries, Italian masterpieces and Dutch and Flemish Old Masters. With a spectacular collection of native and exotic flora, there are several gardens to explore plus a café and shop selling unique regional crafts with a Scottish twist. In the afternoon, we enjoy a scenic tour of the island before we arrive back in Rothesay, where will spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure or alternatively, we could visit the Bute Brew Co, a local craft brewery.

Day 3 Glasgow 83 mile round trip
This morning, we journey to the mainland from Rothesay to Wemyss Bay by ferry and continue by coach to the vibrant streets of Scotland’s biggest city, Glasgow. Famed for its impressive Victorian and art nouveau Charles Rennie Mackintosh architecture, we have time at leisure to explore the city’s numerous attractions including acclaimed museums and galleries such as the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and the Riverside Museum and the fantastic Glasgow Botanic Gardens. For something a little different, why not explore Glasgow from the famous River Clyde on a 3 hour cruise to Dumbarton Rock and Castle where Mary Queen of Scots once stayed, the informative commentary on board recounts the Clyde's famous shipbuilding past and gives and insight into its current architecture. Following our fascinating day we return to Wemyss Bay for our ferry crossing to Rothesay.

Day 4 Inveraray Castle, Loch Lomond & Luss 145 mile round trip
This morning, we take a ferry from Rhubodach to Colintraive from where we travel toInveraray Castle, where we enjoy a guided tour. One of the most iconic castles in Scotland, Inveraray Castle stands majestically on the shores of Loch Fyne and is full of history and grandeur just waiting to be discovered. We will tour all the beautiful rooms including the state dining room, tapestry drawing room and armoury hall, among others. After our tour we enjoy lunch here (not included) before travelling back to our hotel through the spectacular Scottish scenery. We travel via beautiful Loch Lomond with a refreshment stop at Luss before continuing via the Erskine Bridge and Gourock until we reach Wemyss Bay where we travel by ferry back to Rothesay.
