Cultural Exchanges

Enjoy some of London’s most iconic landmarks whilst discovering over 800 years of history on our 2 night weekend break, based at the Park Plaza London Riverbank. Ideally located on the South side of the River Thames, just a short walk from the famous Southbank, the weekend includes a visit to the Churchill War Rooms, the secret WW2 bunker and museum telling the story of Winston Churchill’s life and legacy.

Also included is a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, following the route of the Queen, used each year for the State Opening of Parliament, ending in the medieval Westminster Hall, where Guy Fawkes and King Charles I were found guilty of treason and where, more recently, Nelson Mandela famously addressed both Houses of Parliament. The visit ends with a delicious afternoon tea, served in one of the rooms overlooking the River Thames.

Leave the hotel after breakfast on departure day for a one way sightseeing cruise from Westminster to Tower Pier followed by a visit to the Tower of London, where the Yeoman Warders delight with tales of nearly 1000 years of intriguing tales to tell. Plus of course some pretty fabulous jewels!
