Today, we have a day at leisure to relax and take a stroll around the leafy centre of Fiuggi with its shops and bars. We can wander around the medieval centre or enjoy a visit to the thermal baths.

Day 4 Fiuggi – Vico Equense 237km/147 miles
After breakfast this morning, we start our journey to Vico Equense, stopping at the evocative WWII cemetery at Monte Cassino on our way, where one of the worst battles of the War took place. We continue our journey skirting around Naples, where we will be able to admire views of the bay and Vesuvius in the distance as we approach our second hotel.

Day 5 Pompeii & Vesuvius 130km/81 mile round trip
This morning, we will visit the incredible Roman city of Pompeii, buried by volcanic ash in AD79. Our guide will really bring this town back to life during its times as a vibrant and bustling trading centre. Day 6 Sorrento & Amalfi Coastal Drive Drivers Day Off (local hire due to coach restrictions)
After breakfast, we will board a local coach for a trip to the nearby popular and bustling resort of Sorrento. We can browse the many interesting shops strewn along the beautiful lanes of the old town and there are some excellent cafés on the main square, Piazza Tasso, in which to enjoy a coffee and watch the world go by. In the afternoon, we return to our coach for a spectacular drive along the Amalfi Coast. Known as one of the most spectacular drives in Europe, we will travel along the twisting and winding roads alongside picturesque villages and towns hugging the cliffs and coves. We pass Positano on our way to Amalfi, where we have some free time in the town, after which we make our way back to our hotel.

Day 7 Departure
Today we depart the Bay of Naples and drive north as we head back home.
