Royals & Rails in Stylish Klosters!

Klosters is well known for being the winter playground of the British Royals, one of the cable cars is even named after Prince Charles and both Prince William and Prince Harry learnt to ski at this stylish yet tranquil resort. Highlights of our packaged itinerary include visits to the chic resorts of St. Moritz and Davos, loved by the rich and famous, as well as a horse drawn carriage ride and trip on the Arosa Bahn railway.

Grant says...
“Great 4 star hotel in the centre of a beautiful village with loads of space for groups in the different bars, lounge and restaurants.”
Day 1 Arrival
This afternoon, we will arrive to a very warm welcome from the staff at the Silvretta Park Hotel in Klosters, with time to settle in before dinner and admire the stunning mountain views.

Day 2 Davos 30km/19 mile round trip
Today we will travel to Davos, the highest town in the Alps, and board the Schatzalp funicular railway to the botanical gardens (open May-Oct) which feature around 3,500 different flower species from all over the world at a height of 1,861 metres! We will then return to Davos in the Landwasser valley and explore the excellent shops, cafés, restaurants, museums and art galleries at our leisure.

Day 3 Klosters Driver’s Day Off
Today will be at leisure in Klosters, giving us time to explore the local area. Why not use the Gotschnagrat cable car to travel up the mountain above Klosters for dramatic views over the valley?

Day 4 St Moritz 177km/110 mile round trip
Today we will drive through the ruggedly romantic Zügen Gorge to Bergün where we will visit the Albula Railway Museum before continuing our scenic drive to St Moritz, a stylish resort 1,856m above sea level. After perusing the designer boutiques along Via Serlas, we will enjoy a relaxing 40 minute horse and carriage ride into the magical, car-free, Fex Valley where we will be immersed into its idyllic landscape.

Day 5 Arosa Bahn Mountain Railway 95km/59 mile round trip
The highlight of our holiday is a fantastic 2 hour return journey on the Arosa Bahn. Climbing 1,000m in 1 hour, our journey gets off to a leisurely start in Chur, with a sedate trundle through the town, before the train suddenly starts to climb up into the mountains through spectacular, unspoilt scenery and over the Langwieser Viaduct to its destination of Arosa, 1,800m above sea level. Once there, take the cable car to the top of the Weisshorn or simply breathe in the fresh air and admire the breathtaking views.

Day 6 Departure
After breakfast this morning, we will leave Klosters behind and return homewards.
