A Cluster of Rails in Klosters

Klosters is well known for being the winter playground of the British Royals, one of the cable cars is even named after Prince Charles and both Prince William and Prince Harry learnt to ski at this stylish yet tranquil resort. Highlights of our packaged itinerary include visits to the chic resorts of St Moritz and Davos and a trip on the Bernina Express!
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel before dinner.

Day 2 Davos
Today we will travel to Davos, where our Davos/ Klosters Inclusive Card allows us to board the Schatzalp funicular railway to the botanical gardens which feature around 3,500 different flower species from all over the world at a height of 1,861 metres! We also have the opportunity to visit the Jakobshorn Mountain on the other side of the valley before returning to our hotel in Klosters.

Day 3 Klosters Driver’s Day Off
Today will be at leisure in Klosters, giving us time to explore the local area using our Davos/Klosters inclusive card. Why not use the Gotschnagrat cable car to travel up the mountain above Klosters for dramatic views over the valley or take the train back to Davos for another visit?

Day 4 St Moritz
Today we will drive through the ruggedly romantic countryside to Bergün where we will visit the Albula Railway Museum before embarking on a rail journey to from Bergün to St Moritz. This journey takes us through a series of magnificent circular tunnels as the train descends along either side of the famous gorge. We have free time to explore this stylish resort that sits 1,856m above sea level.

Day 5 Bernina Express
Today, we walk from our hotel to Klosters Platz station to board the Bernina Express and embark on a one-way trip (3 hours 50 min.) through the mountains to Tirano, Italy. We will transverse dramatic viaducts, glide past rushing mountain streams, picture postcard villages and even a mountain garden. The train climbs up to the 2,253 metre high Bernina Pass, the magnificence of which is so hard to translate into words! Our coach will meet us in Tirano for our return trip by coach to our hotel.

Day 6 Departure
After breakfast we begin our journey home.
