A Day in Windsor

Windsor Castle
Built in the 11th century by William the Conqueror, Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. The Queen chooses to spend most of her private weekends here and the Castle is used regularly for ceremonial and State occasions.

Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House
Among the many highlights of a visit to Windsor is Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, the largest, most beautiful and most famous dolls’ house in the world. Built for Queen Mary this most magical of residences is a perfect replica in miniature of an aristocratic home. Filled with thousands of objects, the house even has electricity, running hot and cold water, working lifts and flushing lavatories!

St George’s Chapel - Wedding Venue for HRH Prince Harry and Meghan Markle
Steeped in history, it may not be as famous as Westminster Abbey, but for centuries St George’s Chapel has hosted Royal weddings, most recently the ceremony for Harry's father Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla, in 2005. It is also the final resting place of monarchs, including Henry VIII and Charles I, and Harry's great grandmother, the Queen Mother.

Windsor Tea Cruise
Following a visit to the castle, groups can also enjoy the best sights that Windsor has to offer from the River Thames. A 2 hour Windsor Tea Cruise is the finest way to take in views of the most famous landmarks in town including Windsor Castle and Eton
College. A traditional cream tea will be served onboard completing this relaxing, scenic experience.

The Castle at Christmas November & December
Christmas is an especially magical time of year to visit Windsor Castle, when the State Apartments are adorned with glittering decorations, trees and lights to celebrate the festive season. With a striking Nordmann Fir tree as the centrepiece of the display, decked with lights, tinsel and colourful decorations, experience the castle at Christmas combined with some great Christmas shopping in Windsor town itself, not forgetting of course the four shops on-site at the castle.
