A mind-bending tour of Cambridge

Our fantastic tour of Cambridgeshire includes a costumed guided tour of Oliver Cromwell's House in Ely, a 2 hour guided walking tour of Kings College Cambridge and a day at the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing at Newmarket – saddle up and take the reins on this mind-bending tour!
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Elegant Ely
We spend this morning in the historic city of Ely where we can join a guided tour (free of charge) of magnificent 12th century Ely Cathedral before walking to Oliver Cromwell’s House, where we enjoy a costumed guided tour of the house, experiencing what domestic life was like in the 17th century during the Civil War. The remainder of our day can be spent at leisure, with time to visit the Ely Museum if desired.

Day 3 Cambridge
This morning, we enjoy a 2 hour guided walking tour of Cambridge University, which will include Trinity Hall, Peterhouse (Cambridge’s oldest college) and the iconic King’s College and King’s College Chapel. After our tour, we visit The Eagle, the 14th century pub famous for its RAF ceiling inscribed with signatures of pilots who fought during WWII. In the afternoon, we enjoy time at leisure in the city centre. Please note, access to the colleges cannot always be guaranteed during exam periods and when other events are being held

Day 4 National Heritage Centre for Horseracing
Today, we spend a fantastic day out in Newmarket, visiting the CPT coach-friendly attraction of the National Heritage Centre for Horseracing where we explore the National Horseracing Museum, meet retired racehorses and view a stunning collection of pictures in the National Art Gallery of British Sporting Art.
