SUGGESTED ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel.
Day 2 Lille & Arras
We spend this morning browsing the shops and bistros that line the windy cobbled streets of Lille old town. As Saturday is market day in the main square – Place Sébastopol – we can also browse the market stalls. In the afternoon we can visit the nearby city of Arras, known for its two ornate squares brimming with shops and restaurants, before returning to Lille early evening.
Day 3 In Flanders Field
This morning, we journey the short distance to the largest British & Commonwealth Cemetery, Tyne Cot. We then make our way to the beautiful town of Ypres for time at leisure before we visit the excellent In Flanders Field Museum. We return to our hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 4 Departure
After breakfast, we begin our journey home, with time to pause at a French hypermarket for some last-minute shopping.
