Antrim Coast & A Beautiful Train Journey

Explore the breathtaking Northern Ireland coastline from our base in Coleraine. Taking in the stunning scenery, our tour includes a beautiful train journey, the fascinating city of Derry, the Giants Causeway, Bushmills Distillery and elegant Glenarm Castle.

GREAT NEWS: After Brexit (deal or no deal), Passports still won’t be needed for entry into Ireland. How’s that for a great deal!
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 'The Most Beautiful Train Journey'
Today, we enjoy a train journey described by Michael Palin as being ‘one of the most beautiful train journeys in the world’. En route from Coleraine to Derry, the track runs alongside the sands of one of the most unspoilt beaches in Ireland, whilst on the opposite side of the track, we pass the cliffs of Downhill and the impressive Binevenagh Mountain.
On arrival in Derry, we enjoy a 2 hour walking tour before we spend time at leisure exploring this historic city.

Day 3 Bushmills Distillery & Giants Causeway
We experience stunning scenery today during our drive along the Antrim Coast to the Old Bushmills Distillery. Here we enjoy a guided tour (please note, there are numerous steps and stairs) and free time for lunch before we continue on to the extraordinary Giant’s Causeway and its award winning Visitor Centre. There is a shuttle bus available for the less
mobile to gain easy access to the stones.

Day 4 Glenarm Castle & the Antrim Coast Road
This morning, we visit one of Northern Ireland’s oldest and most beautiful estates, Glenarm Castle. We explore the beautiful walled garden in its incomparable setting by the sea (guided tours of the castle can also be arranged) before we return to our
hotel along the spectacular Antrim coast.

Day 5 Departure
After breakfast we begin our journey home.
