Day 1 Arrival

We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Bantry House & Garden
This morning, we visit Bantry House & Garden, a family home for the past 300 years. We have free time to explore the house and stunning formal gardens before enjoying a homemade lunch in the Tearoom at leisure. We spend the rest of the day in the stunning resort of Bantry, with its semi-tropical flowers, palm trees, high mountain ridges and cascading mountain streams leading to an azure blue sea.

Day 3 Killarney & Lough Leane
Today, we travel to Killarney where we will be met by the famous Killarney Jaunting Cars to embark on a 1 hour tour of Killarney National Park culminating at Ross Castle. We follow this with a 1 hour cruise of Lough Leane from where we see the monastic ruins of Inisfallen Island and the beautiful O’Sullivan’s Cascade, whilst admiring stunning views of the surrounding mountains and Killarney countryside. We return to Killarney where we have free time to explore.

Day 4 The Ring of Beara Peninsula Drive
After breakfast, we discover the rugged and spectacular Beara Peninsula, making our way to Glengarriff where we take a short, but scenic boat trip to Garnish Island, with its beautiful Italian garden and lovely views. (This can be done on the return journey if preferred). We then travel southwest past Leahill Bog and Trafrask Bog and on to peaceful Adrigole, before heading north along the Healy Pass – an awe-inspiring serpentine pass - before continuing along the northern side of the peninsula to Eyeries. We stop for a late lunch and a stroll around Castletown Berehaven harbour before making our way back to the hotel along the south coast.

Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
