Beautiful Bruges 2020

The historic city centre of Bruges is famous for its remarkable medieval architecture, beautiful 13th century Belfry, picturesque canals and lacemaking. Our two fantastic hotels are based in the centre of Bruges, perfect for exploring all the city has to offer.
Horse-drawn Carriage & Canal Boat Tours
Why not enjoy a 30 minute carriage ride along Bruges’ historic winding streets with expert commentary from your coachman? Alternatively, see the beauty of Bruges from the water with a 30 minute boat trip on the canals around the city.

Market Square & Belfry
Life in Bruges centres on the market square which is overlooked by the Belfry Tower, the most imposing in Belgium (please note that there are over 300 steps to the summit of the Belfry). The massive tower dates back to the 13th century and the view from the top looks out over all of Bruges and its surroundings.

Brewery Bourgogne des Flandres
After nearly 60 years, Brasserie Bourgogne des Flandres has returned to the inner city of Bruges with its own brewery (closed Mondays). Explore the brewery and breathe in the smell of malt and fresh hops in the loft. See how the beer is brewed with your own eyes - and maybe have a taste?

Groeningemuseum
This small museum houses an outstanding collection of 15th century Flemish art (closed Mondays).

Kantcentrum (Lace Centre)
Opened in 2014, the Lace Centre is housed in the renovated old lace school of the Sisters of the Immaculate Conception. The story of Bruges’ lace is told in the lace museum on the ground floor and demonstrations are also held in the workshop each afternoon (closed Sundays).

Floralies 01-10 May 2020, Ghent
Floralies Ghent is a unique exhibition of flowers and plants displayed in historical locations throughout the city and in 2020 it will be drawing inspiration from and honouring its great Flemish Master Van Eyck, and his world-famous masterpiece, the Ghent Altarpiece. In addition to a new Van Eyck exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts, the entire Ghent Altarpiece will be displayed at the brand new visitors’ centre at St Bavo Cathedral from June 2020 onwards.
