Bulbfields & Battlefields

Our packaged itinerary has something to please both garden lovers and historians. April is when Keukenhof opens its doors into a world of more than 7 million bright, cheerful flower bulbs!  A fantastic collection of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, orchids, roses, carnations and irises, to name but a few, are on display, creating a spectacle of colours and scents.  We also enjoy a half day step-on guided tour to learn more of the events that place in Arnhem during WWII including Operation Market Garden and we view the John Frost Bridge, named after the British commanding officer, and made famous in the 1977 film “A Bridge Too Far”.   Our tour ends with a visit to the Airborne Museum Hartenstein, a superb and very moving museum dedicated to the Battle of Arnhem.
