Discover a Trio of Italian Lakes

Charming Lake Iseo is located in the Franciacorta Valley, one of the best wine growing areas in the north of Italy and is the ideal base for exploring the neighbouring lakes of Garda and Como.

Tina says...
“As soon as people experience this wonderful hotel on this beautiful lake they can’t wait to return. From the first class décor, the wonderful food and the great leisure facilities, it makes the perfect holiday, which I have been lucky to sample myself!”
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel and enjoy a welcome drink whilst our luggage is taken to our room.

Day 2 Lake Garda - Salò & Wine Tasting 131km/81 mile round trip
Today, we travel to Lake Garda and visit the town of Salò, the renowned port and entrance to the Riviera dei Limoni. Salò was the seat of the Fascist government during the Second World War and consequently home to the infamous dictator, Mussolini, during this time. Traces of its prestigious past can be seen along the main street in the elegant historic centre lined with beautiful, historical buildings, pretty boutiques and restaurants. In the afternoon we enjoy wine tasting at Cantine Redaelli de Zinis, a stunning winery to the south west of the Lake. This region is known as the Tuscany of Lake Garda and will provide us with another excellent, authentic Italian experience.

Day 3 Iseo Driver’s Day Off
We spend today at leisure and can either enjoy the facilities of our superb hotel or spend some time in the authentic historic centre of Iseo with its attractive cafés and wine bars. We also recommend taking the boat trip from Iseo to Monte Isola, the largest inhabited lake island in southern Europe.

Operator note: A shuttle to Iseo Town (excl. Sun) can be arranged by the hotel on request approx. €1pp each way

Day 4 Lake Como 230km/142 mile round trip
Our destination today is a third lake, Lake Como. As we travel up to the south east corner we will be in awe of the dramatic scenery. Our first stop will be at the pretty village of Varenna where we can admire the spectacular views for which Como is famous. From Varenna we then take a short ferry trip (15 minutes) over to stunning Bellagio, the ‘jewel’ of Lake Como. This lovely historic village is teeming with character and boasts a fine selection of lakeside cafés, offering fabulous views from all angles.

Day 5 Franciatcorta Region 56km/35 mile round trip
Today we visit a nearby wine cellar ‘cantina’ in the renowned wine producing area of Franciacorta. This region is very well known throughout Italy, especially for its production of top quality sparkling white wine, or spumante as it is known in the ‘bel paese’. We spend the afternoon at leisure in Iseo.

Day 6 Departure
After breakfast we leave Lake Iseo and begin our journey home.
