Discover Dolphins, Drams, Castles & Cairngorms

The Scottish Highlands offer so many touring possibilities, with nostalgic railways, amazing wildlife, spectacular Cairngorm Mountain scenery, impressive castles, and award winning distilleries on the doorstep and our new tour features all of the aforementioned!
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel before dinner.

Day 2 Ballindalloch Castle & Glenfiddich
Today we visit Ballindalloch Castle. This sumptuous retreat is a joy to explore along with its beautifully maintained walled and rock gardens. In the afternoon we visit Glenfiddich Distillery for a tour and tutored tasting of four award winning drams.

Day 3 Dolphin Spirit Cruise & Inverness
This morning, we travel to Inverness Marina and board the Dolphin Spirit boat for a 75 minute wildlife cruise between the Beauly Firth and Inverness Firth. Our guide will provide commentary and we may see otters, seals, red kites, ospreys, herons and the resident bottlenose dolphins! We spend the afternoon in Inverness with free time to explore its many attractions.

Day 4 Strathspey Steam Railway & Funicular Railway or Highland Folk Museum
Today we head off on a 10 mile journey on the Strathspey Steam Railway, taking in glorious views of heather-clad moors, Caledonian forest and the Spey River before we reach Broomhill. We enjoy lunch in Aviemore before continuing to the foot of Cairngorm itself and boarding the Funicular Railway, the highest in the UK, ascending the northern slopes of the mountain on a spectacular 2km journey. Alternatively in the afternoon we can visit the Highland Folk Museum.
