Dizzy Heights & Fizzy Delights in Knightsbridge

The prosecco is on ice awaiting your groups’ arrival! This spectacular weekend in London will grip guests from the beginning, with a fabulous location – the flashy Knightsbridge – and some smashing excursions and indulgent treats along the way! We kick off with an exhilarating climb over the domed roof of the iconic O2 (sure to blow away the cobwebs!) then reward ourselves with a boozy afternoon tea. Having seen London from the top of The O2, it’s time to head underground to discover a never-before-seen side of the city. We navigate previously forbidden sections of the London Underground on our Hidden London walking tour, discovering abandoned platforms, mysterious passageways and dark chambers!

“This is our first London offering in our new Younger Market concept, so to be staying in a fabulous 4 star hotel in the exclusive and prestigious area of Knightsbridge is a fantastic opportunity to launch this dazzling tour. The superb Millenium Hotel is perfect for this mini break and the bottomless afternoon tea is the cherry on the top for this sparkling weekend in London!”

Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in London’s exclusive Knightsbridge.

Day 2 Up at The O2 & Bottomless Prosecco Afternoon Tea
Climbing suit and boots – check. Harness and safety strap – check. And we’re off! We start our day with an exhilarating climb over London’s famous landmark, The O2 arena, with the fantastic Up at The O2 experience. We ascend the domed roof of this iconic venue, following the 380 metre fabric walkway to the summit. Here, we are treated to a unique look at the fabulous capital, with incredible 360 degree views of historic Greenwich, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and Canary Wharf. On a clear day, we can spot landmarks up to 15 miles away, so we must remember our phones and cameras! We have some time for photos before we begin our descent. Back on solid ground, we make our way back to our lovely hotel to tuck into a delectable afternoon tea complete with free-flowing prosecco for 2 hours – the perfect way to reward ourselves for all that activity! We enjoy the rest of the day at leisure in London, perhaps making the most of our proximity to Knightsbridge’s famous Harrods and Harvey Nichols stores with a spot of shopping!

Day 3 Hidden London Underground Walking Tour & Departure
Before we make our way home later today, we embark on a fascinating 75 minute Hidden London Underground guided walking tour, which gives us exclusive behind the scenes access to out of bounds London Underground spaces. We sneak behind closed doors and locked grilles to discover a hidden world of disused tunnels and shadowy passages – once brimming with commuters and trains, these underground spaces are now deserted... but full of history and intrigue! There’s a choice of four walking tours – Piccadilly Circus, Charing Cross, Euston and Aldwych – all of which lead us through off-limits and previously inaccessible places, including mysterious passageways and concealed chambers, some of which date back to the opening of the Underground in 1863! As we explore these forgotten spaces, our guide divulges stories of wartime shelters, engineering feats and top-secret hideaways. We may even spot some familiar film locations! Please note, guests must wear flat, closed-toe, sturdy shoes. The whole group will do the same tour.

Choose from:

Piccadilly Circus: the heart of London
Piccadilly Circus opened in 1906 and was extensively modernised in the 1920s. Behind closed doors, remnants of the old Edwardian station remain with fascinating secrets of a bygone era waiting to be revealed.

Charing Cross: access all areas
Closed since 1999, the Jubilee platforms at Charing Cross are now synonymous with movies and TV. View filming locations for Skyfall and Killing Eve, see abandoned platforms and walk underneath Trafalgar Square!

Euston: the lost tunnels
Explore a century of Euston station’s history and discover a labyrinth of dark and dusty passageways, acting as a gallery of preserved vintage advertising poster fragments that have been concealed for over 50 years.

Aldwych: the end of the line
Closed in 1994, Aldwych station provided shelter during the Blitz, has been used for film shoots and has provided vital training for London’s emergency services. Go beyond the red tiled façade to uncover times gone by.
