Donegal is Making Waves 2020

Wild and rugged, County Donegal recently topped National Geographic’s cool list and with good reason…its mystical landscape of coasts, cliffs and country roads is perfect for touring, which we do from our stunning hotel in Bundoran… prepare to be enchanted!

GREAT NEWS: After Brexit (deal or no deal), Passports still won’t be needed for entry into Ireland. How’s that for a great deal!
Day 1 Arrival
We have an early morning departure as we head to Holyhead for our sailing to Dublin, from where we travel west to County Donegal.

Day 2 Slieve League Cliffs & Glencolmcille Folk Village
This morning we visit the highest marine cliffs in Europe, the Slieve League Cliffs, where we board a minibus for a guided tour of the cliffs. We return to our coach to make our way to Glencolmcille Folk Village where we step back in time with a guided tour of the small cottages of a rural Irish village.

Day 3 Belleek Pottery & Donegal Bay Cruise
This morning, we make the short journey to Belleek Pottery, where we enjoy a 30 minute guided tour of Ireland’s oldest pottery producer, experiencing all the production areas with the chance to chat with the craftspeople along the way. We then have free time for lunch in Donegal before embarking on a 75 minute cruise of Donegal Bay. We enjoy full commentary of the points of interest along the way with an on-board sing-a-long musical cabaret on the return leg of our journey!

Day 4 Ulster American Folk Park
We spend time today at the Ulster American Folk Park to see its reconstructed buildings and full-scale emigrant sailing ship. This outdoor museum brings to life people’s daily routines and activities in both the old and new worlds. We see buildings that have been relocated from America, an Ulster street complete with original shop fronts, a reconstructed American street and the full-scale emigrant sailing ship.

Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
