Dramatic Donegal: Wild Atlantic Way & Mighty Causeway Coast 2025
Our scenic tour takes in County Donegal’s most northernly dramatic scenery. We include a day at the Glenveagh National Park and a scenic drive of Inishowen Peninsula. We also take a journey along Northern Ireland’s breathtaking Causeway Coast with a visit to Oakfield Park estate.
PACKAGED ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Inishowen Peninsula Scenic Drive & Doagh Famine Village
Today is all about scenery, as we take a scenic drive around the Inishowen Peninsula. It marks the start of the mighty Wild Atlantic Way and is Ireland’s largest peninsula. We enjoy a stop at the most northernly point, Malin Head. In the afternoon we visit the Doagh Famine Village for a guided tour.
Day 3 Glenveagh National Park
Today, we make our way to the spectacular Glenveagh National Park. We visit the award-winning Visitor Centre and marvel at the beautiful Glenveagh Castle. We make an early afternoon return to our hotel, giving us plenty of time to make the most of our wonderful base.
Day 4 Scenic Causeway Coastal Drive, Portrush & Oakfield Park
Today we take a scenic drive along the mighty Causeway Coastal Route. We make a pitstop in the seaside resort town of Portrush then continue our picturesque travels to Oakfield Park. Upon arrival we enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch before time to explore. During our visit we board a train for a 4.5km of narrow-gauge railway ride.
Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
