Kew Gardens

Kew Gardens has been a firm favourite for groups for many years and with its ever changing seasons and series of events it’s easy to see why. With such a wide range of permanent and temporary exhibitions and displays there are many reasons to visit, again and again!

With so much to see and do, we recommend a full day’s visit to Kew to allow plenty of time to explore all that this fantastic garden has to offer.

Kew Palace & The Royal Kitchens
An intimate palace that brings to life the joys and sorrows of George III and his family, from his children’s lives to his own hardships.  Next to the Palace, the Georgian royal kitchen remains miraculously preserved, 200 years after it was last used.  There is a little kitchen garden to the rear, which gives a flavour of what the Georgian kitchen gardens were like.

The Treetop Walkway
Opened in 2008, the Treetop Walkway stands in the Arboretum, between the Temperate House and the lake.  At 18 metres high, it enables visitors to walk around the crowns of lime, sweet chestnut and oak trees.

The Hive
Just step inside and discover the secret life of bees!

Davies Alpine House
Opened in 2006, the Davies Alpine House was the first new glasshouse to be commissioned for two decades and is located at the north end of the Rock Garden.  Here you will find exquisite alpines such as campanulas, dianthus, helichrysum, primulas, thymes, tulips and verbascums.

Temperate House
The largest Victorian glasshouse in the world has reopened. See over 10,000 plants including some of the rarest and most threatened in this historic glasshouse.

The Savill Garden
The Savill Garden is a tranquil place to discover rare plants from around the world, arranged in stunning seasonal displays. Since its creation in the 1930s, The Savill Garden has been an inspiration for all. Located just 4 miles from Windsor, within the Windsor Great Park, this natural haven of beautifully designed gardens and woodland can be enjoyed by everyone, from dedicated horticulturists to those who just want to spend a relaxing day out with family or friends.

The 35 acres of interconnected gardens include the Hidden Gardens, Spring Wood, the Summer Gardens, the New Zealand Garden, Summer Wood, The Glades, Autumn Wood and the Winter Beds.
