PACKAGED ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway & Skipton Canal Cruise
Our morning begins with a 30 minute journey through the picturesque Yorkshire Dales on the Embsay and Bolton Abbey Steam Railway, before enjoying free time for lunch in Skipton. In the afternoon we watch the world drift by on a relaxing 1 hour narrow boat cruise along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal through the Pennine countryside with tea and biscuits served on board. Please note, trains run on a Tues/ Sat & Sun from May - Oct (& every day during the summer school holidays) + bank holidays

Day 3 Castle Howard & York
We visit impressive Castle Howard this morning, where we learn of its rich and varied history. Visits to the house are free-flow, allowing groups to explore at leisure, with friendly and knowledgeable guides on hand to share the stories of the house, family and collections as well as its link to some of the most popular TV programmes filmed there over the past few years. In the afternoon, we spend time at leisure in historic York, where we explore its first class attractions including gothic York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Centre, the National Railway Centre and York's famous medieval street, The Shambles.

Day 4 Departure
After breakfast, we make out way home.

Day 4 Black Sheep Brewery & Harrogate
This morning we enjoy a 1 hour “shepherded” brewery tour at the Black Sheep Brewery finishing with the end product - a glass of award winning ale! We spend the afternoon at leisure in the historic spa town of Harrogate, where Betty’s famous Tea Room is just one of the attractions in this flower-filled spa town.

Day 5 Departure
We make our way home today.
