Day 1 Arrival
Today we will arrive at our hotel and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee while our bags are taken to our room.

Day 2 Ty Halen Saltcote & Visitor Centre & Plas Newydd House & Gardens (NT) 37 mile round trip
This morning we travel over the Menai Bridge to the Isle of Anglesey, once known as the ‘Bread Basket of Wales’ due to its fertile land. The island still makes the most of its surroundings, by offering the freshest seafood straight from the sea, seasoned with delicious sea salt drawn directly from the crystal clear waters of the Menai Strait. We will begin our day with a visit to the new award- winning Ty Halen Saltcote & Visitor Centre located in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the banks of the Menai Stait. Here we will enjoy a 50 minute behind the scenes tour with our guide who will tell us the history of one of the world’s finest seasonings, the humble grain of salt. Following our visit here, we will travel to Plas Newydd Country House & Gardens, the grandest and most striking house on Anglesey. The 18th century house is set on the shores of the Menai Strait amidst breathtakingly beautiful scenery. During our visit we discover the spring garden and Australasian arboretum, with an under storey of shrubs and wild flowers, an italianate-style summer terrace and massed hydrangeas. We can then enjoy free time in beautiful Beaumaris with its medieval castle, where we can relax on the beach, take a walk along the Victorian pier or treat ourselves to an ice cream at the Red Boat Ice Cream Parlour!

Day 3 Bodnant Gardens (NT) & Bodnant Welsh Food Centre 66 mile round trip
This morning, we will take a scenic coastal drive to Bodnant Gardens, a stunning 80 acre garden with grand terraces and views of Snowdonia. The Garden has two parts – the upper garden around Bodnant Hall consists of the terraced gardens and informal lawns and the lower area, known as the “Dell” is where the Wild Garden can be found. During our visit we will see a wide range of interesting and beautiful plants from all over the world, particularly from China, North America, Europe and Japan. We will then travel the short distance to Bodnant Welsh Food Centre, where we will enjoy a 2 hour guided Welsh Food History Tour with free tastings, before enjoying lunch at leisure in the Hayloft Restaurant. We return via the Snowdonia countryside towards Betws-y-Coed, North Wales’s most popular inland resort. The picturesque Victorian village nestled within a beautiful wooded valley is surrounded by waterfalls, hill-top lakes and ancient bridges and is a joy to explore.

Day 4 Caernarfon & Pant Du Vineyard 16 mile round trip
After a leisurely full Welsh breakfast we will enjoy a morning exploring our base of Caernarfon, Gwynedd’s county town and home to Wales’s most famous castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. During our free time we can choose to explore the mighty Caernarfon Castle, take a stroll around the town’s narrow streets or stylishly redeveloped waterfront, or enjoy a ride on the Welsh Highland Railway which runs for 25 miles to Porthmadog. After lunch at leisure, we will board our coach and travel to the family run Pant Du Vineyard and Orchard to enjoy a guided tour of the first commercial vineyard in Gywnedd and experience a glass of Pant Du Cider or award winning wine, whilst taking in the spectacular views of the magnificent Snowdonia mountain range.

Day 5 Departure
