Hall Things Bright and Beautiful

Enjoy the spectacular scenery of Staffordshire and Derbyshire as we travel to the finest stately halls, homes and gardens these counties have to offer. Brimming with history and splendour, our super tour takes us to the beautiful Trentham Gardens, lavish Kedleston Hall, spectacular Chatsworth Estate and elegant Haddon Hall, and also includes a delightful visit to the wonderful World of Wedgwood.

Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Trentham Gardens & Visitor Centre & World of Wedgwood
This morning, we visit Trentham Gardens & Visitor Centre and enjoy a peaceful stroll
through the award-winning Italian Garden – keep an eye out for fairies, they’re not only
at the bottom of the garden! After time for lunch, we spend the afternoon discovering
the fascinating history and heritage of World of Wedgwood, which showcases the very
best of British craftsmanship from expertise honed over 260 years.

Day 3 Kedleston Hall & Derby
We begin today with a trip to Kedleston Hall, a beautiful mansion framed by parkland.
Built for lavish entertaining and containing extensive collections of art, it is a stunning
example of architect Robert Adam’s work. It’s worth spending time roaming the attractive
gardens with lakes separated by tinkling waterfalls. We then spend the afternoon at
leisure in the friendly town of Derby.

Day 4 Chatsworth Estate & Haddon Hall
We spend this morning exploring the breathtaking Chatsworth Estate in the heart of
the Peak District National Park. The house reveals 30 sumptuous rooms plus a diverse
collection of art; look out for the memorable illusionist painting of a violin hanging on
a door. The gardens are a treat with fountains, ponds, sculptures and a huge maze to
navigate. We have time for lunch here before travelling through stunning countryside to
reach Haddon Hall, recognised as one of the most romantic houses in Britain. This elegant
house and grounds have played host to a number of historical films including Jane Eyre
and Pride & Prejudice.

Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
