Kinsale, Killarney & Kissing the Blarney!

This tour features a fabulous new hotel in County Cork which allows us to explore the highlights of both Cork and Kerry. Kiss the legendary Blarney Stone, ride around Killarney National Park in a horse-drawn jaunting car and follow the Wild Atlantic Way to beautiful Bantry, taking in the warmth and spirit of this lovely corner of Ireland on the way!

GREAT NEWS: After Brexit (deal or no deal), Passports still won’t be needed for entry into Ireland. How’s that for a great deal!
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Blarney Castle & Kinsale
We begin our day at Blarney Castle, built nearly 600 years ago. Since then, millions have visited the castle in order to kiss the legendary Blarney Stone to gain the gift of eloquence. The grounds of the castle are incredibly beautiful and believed by some to have a genuinely mystical quality - decide for yourself after exploring the bewitching themed gardens, herbaceous borders and woodland walks. We also have time to visit the Blarney Woollen Mills (within walking distance of the castle) known as the “largest Irish store in the world”, selling a wide selection of authentic gifts from Ireland. From here, we make our way to the picturesque and popular town of Kinsale, known as the gourmet capital of Ireland. We have free time for lunch before we enjoy a 1 hour guided walking tour of the historic port and town, where we learn of its links to Robinson Crusoe, polar explorers and pirates!

Day 3 Killarney Jaunting Car Tour & Brewery Experience
This morning, we combine a craft brewery visit with a jaunting car ramble through the magnificent scenery of Killarney National Park. We enjoy a guided tour of the Killarney Brewing Company and sample the hand crafted beers before our tour continues with a jaunting car ride through the beautiful Killarney National Park to Ross Castle. We spend the rest of the day at leisure in Killarney town centre.

Day 4 Bantry House & Garden
This morning we travel along parts of the scenic route of the Wild Atlantic Way to Bantry. We visit Bantry House & Garden, a family home for the past 300 years. We explore the house and stunning formal gardens at our leisure before enjoying free time for a homemade lunch in the tearoom. We spend the rest of the day exploring the stunning bay of Bantry, with its semi-tropical flowers, palm trees, high mountain ridges and cascading mountain streams leading to an azure blue sea.

Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
