PACKAGED ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Bowness-on-Windermere
This morning, we make our way to the vibrant town of Bowness-on-Windermere. On arrival, we set off on a relaxing 45-minute boat cruise to absorb views over the surrounding peaks, secluded bays and wooded islands. After disembarking, there is free time for us to explore Bowness-on-Windermere before we make our way back to Morecambe in the late afternoon.
Day 3 Leighton Hall & Morecambe
We spend the morning at Leighton Hall, where we have a tour of the hall then time to wander through the pretty gardens and woodland walk and to witness breath taking displays from birds of prey (weather permitting between May and September). We end our time at the estate with a lovely afternoon tea before making our way back to Morecambe, where we have the remainder of afternoon at leisure.
Day 4 Lancaster Canal Cruise & Barton Grange or Lancaster
This morning starts with a journey to Lancaster where we join our Lune Aqueduct cruise (only available May – October, alternative cruises are available outside of this period). Our 1 hour 45 minute cruise includes wonderful views of the cityscape and the River Lune. On a clear day, you can see as far as North Yorkshire and the flat-topped hill of Ingleborough. Our return journey includes impressive views of Lancaster Castle before we arrive in Lancaster where we have time at leisure to explore the city’s attractions.
Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
