Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 St Johann & Kisslinger Glass
This morning we enjoy a guided walk of beautiful St. Johann in Tyrol, the hub of the Kitzbüheler region, before we enjoy a scenic drive via the Wilder Kaiser Mountains to Rattenberg. We have time at leisure in the medieval old town followed by a glass-blowing demonstration at Kisslinger Glass, which still continues the centuries-old tradition of Tyrolean glassmaking.Day 3 Christmas Eve - Hellbrunn Palace & Silent Night Chapel
Today, we visit Hellbrunn Palace, home to one of Austria’s most atmospheric Christmas markets. Hellbrunn Advent Magic has been held for almost 20 years in the palace’s beautifully decorated inner courtyard which sits against the romantic backdrop of the palace itself whose 24 windows are transformed into an oversized advent calendar. As well as traditional wooden huts offering tempting gifts and treats, the famous Trick Fountains are open during Advent, bathed in atmospheric lighting. The baroque grottos and fountains are also accompanied by an 8m tall Christmas angel, with guest choirs and folk musicians all adding to the festive atmosphere. In the afternoon, we visit the Silent Night Chapel at Oberndorf, where one of the most popular Christmas carols was composed and first sung. We enjoy a guided tour before returning to our hotel where our evening’s entertainment includes a glass of sparkling wine, Christmas stories, Christmas music with a brass band and a 5 course Christmas menu.

Day 4 Christmas Day – St Johann
We enjoy a very special Christmas Day at leisure in St Johann where the cafés and cable cars will be open as usual. After our 4 course turkey lunch, make the most of the sensational surroundings and enjoy a Christmas stroll in the winter wonderland.

Day 5 Boxing Day - Salzburg
Today, we make our way to Salzburg where we enjoy a guided tour of this fascinating city, famous for many reasons, not least for its impressive baroque architecture, for being the birthplace of Mozart and the setting for the Sound of Music! Salzburg’s famous Christmas Market “Salzburger Christkindlmarkt”, one of the world’s oldest Advent markets, is still open on Boxing Day and its unique setting in the Cathedral Square in the heart of Salzburg’s World Heritage listed old city is a joy to behold.

Day 6 Departure
We make our way home today.
