Paris to the Côte Fleurie Beaches

Day 1 Embark in Paris
We board our ship from 18.00 hrs, after which we will be treated to a welcome cocktail and presentation from the crew.

Day 2 Paris
This morning, we will enjoy a step-on guided tour of Paris. We will travel past all the most famous Paris attractions including the Louvre and its glass pyramid, the Opéra Garnier, the Bastille, the Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, the Trocadero and of course, the famous Eiffel Tower, among others. We will have the afternoon to enjoy free time in Paris at our leisure.

Day 3 Paris - Les Andelys or Vernon
Today, we will enjoy a guided tour of the breathtaking Versailles Palace. We will view the spectacular interior, including the King’s Grand Apartment and the Hall of Mirrors, before having free time to discover the fabulous formal French gardens.

Note: The Versailles Palace is closed on Mondays. If our visit falls on a Monday, we will visit the Malmaison Château or the Auvers-sur-Oise Château instead.

Day 4 Les Andelys or Vernon – Rouen
We spend this morning cruising to Rouen. Once there, we will disembark and leave on foot for a guided walking tour of Rouen. The historic city centre and its famous cathedral are only a 5 – 10 minute walk from the ship. Attractions we will see include the Notre-Dame Cathedral, the market place where Joan of Arc was burned at the stake and the Gros-Horloge or Great Clock, one of the most iconic monuments in the city.

Day 5 Rouen – Duclair
This morning, we will be cruising towards Duclair. Once there, we will enjoy a step-on guided tour of the Norman Abbeys Trail, starting with the Jumièges Abbey, described as the most beautiful ruins in all of France. During our visit we will discover the cloisters and the ruins of the Church of Saint Peter before visiting the Abbey of Saint Wandrille (exterior only), a highly spiritual monument, before returning to our ship by coach.

Day 6 Honfleur
Option 1
This morning, we disembark in Honfleur and travel by coach to the charming Norman town of Pont l’Evêque, where we enjoy a guided tour around its attractions and half-timbered houses before finishing our tour with a tasting of the Pont l’Evêque cheese. We then return to Honfleur for a guided walking tour of the most charming sites of this city before walking back to our ship. In the afternoon, we will travel by coach along the Côte Fleurie to Deauville, one of the most glamorous coastal French cities before continuing to Breuil Castle, located in the lush green setting of the Pays d’Auge. The castle is home to a prestigious distillery where we will get the chance to discover how calvados is made before enjoying a taste!

Option 2
We will enjoy a full day guided tour to the Landing Beaches at Normandy (lunch included), visiting Pointe du Hoc, the Omaha Beach and Coleville-sur-Mer and its American cemetery on the way, stopping in Arromanches after lunch.

Day 7 Disembark in Honfleur
After breakfast, we disembark around 09.00 hrs to begin our journey home.

MS Botticelli

This 360 foot long and 37 foot wide ship with 2 decks was built in 2004 and offers 75 pleasantly decorated en-suite cabins all equipped with central heating/air conditioning, satellite television, hairdryer and safe. Main deck cabins have panoramic windows, while upper deck cabins have French balconies. The large sundeck is ideal to relax in the sun, or just to be able to sit back and take in the scenery. MS Botticelli provides a large lounge-bar with a dance floor and full service bar to welcome in the evenings which creates the chance to socialise with fellow passengers on board the ship.

MS Seine Princess

Constructed in 2002 and refurbished in 2010 the MS Seine Princess was perfectly built to sail perfectly along the beautiful Seine River, providing passengers with a chic and stylish way to explore France. Accommodation for 138 passengers is split over two decks, there is no lift between the decks, with approximately 13 steps between each deck. The ship facilities include a restaurant and lounge/bar and gift shop on the Upper Deck and a large Sun Deck. The restaurant offers French cuisine along with traditional local dishes, freshly prepared by an on-board chef. Breakfast is a buffet style whereas lunch and dinner is waiter service and is a set menu that changes daily. The bar and lounge are situated at the front of the ship and features 180-degree panoramic windows, offering fantastic the views of the Seine. The bar/lounge also features a decently sized dance floor that becomes well-used as the night wears on with entertainment each evening. On the Sun Deck above, guests can admire the passing views, with outdoor deck space that stretches from bow to stern. Each of the 67 cabins have en-suite shower facilities, air conditioning, hairdryers, TV, safe and outside views.
