Planes, Trains, Boats & 'Being Brunel'!

Bristol has some exciting new attractions opening within the next year...the state-of-the-art Being Brunel Museum Experience and Aerospace Bristol are both included in our transport themed packaged itinerary - see more details below!
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel and enjoy a welcome tea/coffee as our bags are taken to our rooms.

Day 2 Brunel’s SS Great Britain & Being Brunel Museum Experience
Today, we head towards the Dockyard, where we can discover the ship that changed the world: Brunel’s SS Great Britain. The world’s first great ocean liner is fully accessible and the winner of more than 30 tourism awards. We head beneath the glass sea, walk through the history of the SS Great Britain in the Dockyard Museum and step onto the ship itself. It is alive with sights, sounds and even smells so prepare to set sail on the most extraordinary time machine! We also have time to see the exciting new national museum and visitor experience, Being Brunel. Visitors will be invited to step into the mind of Isambard Kingdom Brunel as he is brought vividly to life with never-before-seen personal possessions, documents and artefacts.

Day 3 Aerospace Bristol & Avon Valley Railway with Afternoon Tea
This morning we visit a new attraction for 2018 - Aerospace Bristol. The collection will offer a unique glimpse inside the aerospace industry from the point of view of the people who designed and built our nation’s aircraft over the past 100 years. Taking off in summer 2017, Aerospace Bristol will tell a fascinating story of more than a century of flight and give visitors the chance to step aboard its star attraction, the iconic Concorde 216, the last of the supersonic passenger jets to be built and the last to fly.

We then make our way to the beautifully restored Victorian station at Bitton. Here we join the Avon Valley Railway which has brought the sounds and smells of steam back to the Avon Valley. We can sit back, relax and enjoy a 6 mile round trip out into the glorious countryside of the Avon Valley as our waiter serves us a cream tea.

Day 4 Departure
After breakfast we leave our hotel and begin our journey home.
