Roman Bath & Brunel's Bristol

Our packaged tour includes a day in Bristol discovering the ship that changed the world, the SS Great Britain, and a day exploring the beautiful Georgian city of Bath, with a cream tea in the elegant Pump Room Restaurant at the Roman Baths – the perfect combination for a great weekend break!

This holiday is part of the Great West Way, a 125-mile route linking London to Bristol. It follows one of the first Great Roads commissioned by the Kings of England and showcases every day England and world-famous heritage, combining a mesmerising mix of picture postcard villages, rolling hills and historic cities.

Day 2 Brunel’s SS Great Britain
Today, we head towards the Dockyard, where we discover the ship that changed the world, Brunel’s SS Great Britain. The world’s first great ocean liner is fully accessible and the winner of more than 30 tourism awards. We head beneath the glass sea, walk through the history of the SS Great Britain in the Dockyard Museum and step onto the ship itself.
We also have time to see the exciting new national museum and visitor experience, Being Brunel, where the never-before-seen personal possessions, documents and artefacts of Isambard Kingdom Brunel are displayed, before spending the rest of the afternoon at leisure in Bristol.

Day 3 Bath
We spend today in the beautiful Georgian city of Bath, famous for its thermal water springs, stunning architecture, beautiful abbey and flower filled streets, parks and gardens. We visit the Royal Crescent, the magnificent sweep of 30 Georgian houses featured as a backdrop in countless films and TV dramas, the No. 1 Royal Crescent Museum, the Jane Austen Centre, the Fashion Museum & the Royal Assembly Rooms.
