Day 1 Arrival
This morning, we make our way to our hotel and have time to settle in before dinner this evening.

Day 2 Shakespeare’s Schoolroom & Guildhall & Stratford 18/0 mile round trip
This morning, we will go back to school and discover the schoolroom where it all began for the bright Midlands schoolboy, William Shakespeare. This functioning school has opened its doors to the public after a £1.8m restoration. We will enjoy a guided tour and fully interactive classroom experience by taking part in a Tudor lesson with “Master Jenkins” in the very classroom where Shakespeare sat as a child. After our lesson, we can take a stroll through Stratford and enjoy lunch before making our way to Shakespeare’s Birthplace, a short walk away. We will have the option of touring the Shakespeare family homes, including Hall’s Croft, Nash’s House & New Place and Harvard House.

Day 3 Warwick Castle 19/18 mile round trip
Today, we will make our way to the magnificent Warwick Castle. With more than 1,000 years of jaw-dropping history, magic, myth and adventure to behold castle is packed full of attractions for visitors of all ages, including a maze, a Time Tower and the Mighty Trebuchet – the largest working siege machine in the world – this colossal catapult is an authentic recreation of one of the biggest and most deadly military machines of all time, behind the castle’s mighty walls, the real heart of the castle can be found in its beautiful grand interiors.

Day 4 Hidcote Manor Garden & Chipping Campden 32/26 mile round trip
This morning, we make our way to Hidcote Manor Garden, famous for its rare trees and shrubs, herbaceous borders and unusual plants from all over the world. The garden is divided into a series of outdoor ‘rooms’ using hedges and walls. We may choose to enjoy
lunch (not included) in Winthrop’s Café before boarding our coach. In the afternoon we visit nearby Chipping Campden. The town boasts a number of historic buildings including a beautiful 400 year old Market Hall and Woolstaplers Hall, built in 1340 was a Wool Exchange. We can explore some of the little shops lining the High Street before returning to our hotel.

Day 5 Departure
We make our way home today, perhaps via Charlecote Park.
