Janine says…
“I absolutely fell in love with the Renvyle House Hotel; it really is like entering into a piece of Irish magic, where you can totally switch off in one of the most spectacular and dramatic settings on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic way. The food here is outstanding and it’s the main reason I have created this new tour. If you want to offer your customers a true
Irish dining culinary experience, then this tour is a must!”

Day 1 Arrival
Travelling from Dublin port, we arrive at our first hotel, the stunning Bloomfield House Hotel, in time for dinner.

Day 2 Journey to Connemara via Galway
This morning, we set off for our second hotel, the Renvyle House Hotel in Connemara, stopping off in Galway en route, with free time for lunch and time to see this fascinating city.

Day 3 Kylemore Abbey & Killary Fjord
We spend this morning at stunning Kylemore Abbey, the home of Benedictine nuns since 1920, and one of Ireland’s best loved attractions, set amongst the splendour of the Connemara landscape. The nuns have restored the abbey, gothic church and beautiful 6 acre Victorian walled garden, which is divided in two by a mountain stream. There is also a new visitor experience that tells the story of the abbey through the generations. We have free time to explore and enjoy lunch in the stylish café. In the afternoon, we head for Killary Fjord, Ireland’s only fjord. Setting sail from the south side of Killary, we travel along the length of the fjord on our 90 minute return cruise taking in the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape as we listen to the on-board commentary.

Day 4 Westport House & Glen Keen Farm
Today, we visit Westport House, called the most beautiful house in Ireland and one of its best loved heritage attractions. We enjoy a 30 minute guided tour of the house, which takes in the main floor and basement of the house followed by free time to further explore all 30 rooms of the house, its exhibitions, woodland grounds and parkland. From here, we head to Westport town where we enjoy time at leisure for lunch. In the afternoon, we visit Glen Keen Farm, one of Ireland’s largest sheep farms, with a rich history of tradition and heritage that spans six generations. On our 90 minute visit, we enjoy a guided walk that takes in a live sheep herding demonstration along with tea/coffee, home baked scones and a traditional Irish music session.

Day 5 Journey to County Wicklow via Tullamore
This morning, we bid farewell to Connemara and travel to our next hotel, stopping off en route at the Tullamore DEW Visitor Centre set in its Old Bonded Warehouse on the banks of Tullamore’s Grand Canal. We enjoy a true whiskey experience with a 50 minute guided tour and a tasting at the end.

Day 6 Wicklow, Glendalough & Powerscourt
This morning, we enjoy a scenic drive through the spectacular Wicklow Mountains National Park, one of Ireland’s most untouched regions, and the stunning Valley of Glendalough, en route to Powerscourt, voted one of the top 10 houses in the world by Lonely Planet and recently rated as the third best garden in the world by National Geographic. We enjoy free time for lunch before time at leisure to explore the 47 acres of formal gardens, sweeping terraces, statues, ornamental lakes, secret hollows and lovely walks.
