Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Trio of Transport Treats & Afternoon Tea
Today we enjoy a trio of transport treats beginning with a 40 minute Windermere cruise from Bowness to Lakeside pier before we embark on a nostalgic 20 minute steam train journey on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway. When we arrive at Haverthwaite station we enjoy a lovely afternoon tea before we visit the Lakeland Motor Museum, featuring a unique collection of 30,000 exhibits.

Day 3 Dalemain Estate & Ullswater Steamers
This morning we visit Dalemain Mansion, a unique and slightly quirky historic house where we enjoy a guided tour. The house is set within five acres of historic gardens, home to the very special Dalemain Blue poppies. Don’t forget to visit the gift shop to purchase some award winning marmalades! In the afternoon we travel to nearby Pooley Bridge and
enjoy a scenic 1 hour Ullswater Steamer cruise.

Day 4 Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway & Muncaster Castle
This morning, we start with a return steam train journey on the Ravenglass & Eskdale Steam Railway from the coastal village of Ravenglass to the very heart of the Lake District, Dalegarth, where we disembark for a short break before our 40 minute return journey. Once back at Ravenglass station, we re-join our coach for a short 10 minute drive to Muncaster Castle, Gardens, Hawk and Owl Centre, where we spend time exploring this haunted castle and its grounds! Please note, the roads in Eskdale are narrow and coaches can only turn around in one place.

Day 5 Departure
Today, we begin our journey home.
