PACKAGED ITINERARY
Day 1
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Würzburg
This morning, we will take a guided tour through the episcopal city of Würzburg with the wonderful sights of Marienberg Fortress, Käppele and the Cathedral. Afterwards, we visit the majestic Julisspital Winery for a fascinating guided tour of this historic wine estate including wine tasting. Steeped in over 400 years of history, the vineyards are spread across the hills of Franconia. Afterwards, we return to our hotel for dinner followed by a mouth-watering tasting of five selected Franconian wines.
Day 3 Nuremberg
After breakfast, we will explore Nuremberg’s old town with a 90-minute guided tour including the towering St Lawrence Church, Gothic Church of our Lady as well as one of Germany’s most important fortresses, the Imperial Castle. Explore the old town with its impressive centuries old history and browse the shops for souvenirs including delicious traditional gingerbread. This afternoon, we visit an old Franconian family brewery including beer tasting before returning to our hotel for dinner.
Day 4 Ebracher Forest
Today, we visit the stunning Ebracher Forest for a 1km stroll along a treetop walk to see the beautiful wildlife of the region from the forest floor to the treetops, and amazing views beyond. We will have free time for lunch before returning to our hotel. After dinner, we will enjoy some live entertainment from a local accordion player.
Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we begin our journey home.
