PACKAGED ITINERARY
Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Lacock & Bowood House
After breakfast we head to Lacock to visit this unique National Trust village. Beautifully preserved, it has hardly changed since the 13th century when it was a thriving town trading in wool. In addition to exploring the town itself, we also visit Lacock Abbey, a former abbey which later became the home of the Fox Talbot family, pioneers of modern-day photography. In the afternoon we make the short journey to Bowood House and Gardens, home of the Marquis of Lansdowne. Here, we explore the 100 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland.
Day 3 Bath
Today we have the whole day in Bath. We are spoilt for choice with things to do and see in this honey-coloured, compact city: from the famous Roman Baths and Pump Rooms to the Royal Crescent, Victoria Art Gallery and Bath Brew House, it feels as though we have stepped into a Jane Austen novel.
Day 4 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
