Itinerary

PACKAGED ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Port Sunlight & Ness Botanic Gardens
We start our day in the unique Wirral village, Port Sunlight, which was built by Lever Brothers (now Unilever) in 1888 to house workers in its soap factory. We begin with a 60-minute step-on guide tour of the village before having time in the Port Sunlight Museum and the recreated worker’s cottage.  Port Sunlight makes for the perfect location for lunch, with many options of cafes and tea rooms.  In the afternoon, we visit Ness Botanic Gardens. Originally created in 1898, this stunning garden spans 64 acres and showcases more than 15,000 plants from all over the world.

Day 3 Tatton Park
Today we spend the day at leisure at Tatton Park. Explore the impressive Neo-Classical Mansion, filled with fine art, period furniture, and fascinating history. The 50-acre Gardens are equally captivating, featuring formal Italian and Japanese gardens, a maze, and lush glasshouses. Beyond this, the estate includes a working farm where you can meet rare breed animals (please note the farm is approx. 0.5 mile walk from where Tatton Park mansion is located, in main season, at the weekends, there is often a land train that goes to the farm, but this cannot be guaranteed).
