We spend today at leisure exploring the fabulous Christmas markets in Cologne, set around the picturesque old town and glorious Gothic Cologne Cathedral, savouring the sights, sounds and tempting aromas of a traditional festive German market.
Please note that coach parking in Cologne during Christmas markets is strictly controlled and pre-booking is required.
Day 3 Aachen & Merode Castle Christmas Markets
This morning we visit the delightful Aachen Christmas market, with stalls lining the squares and lanes around the UNESCO protected Aachen Cathedral and Town Hall. We then explore the Christmas market set in the grounds of the beautiful Merode Castle, providing an enchanting festive experience.
