Day 1 Arrival
Today we arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Scottish Fisheries Museum & St Andrews
Today, we head south into the East Neuk of Fife to the pretty fishing village of Anstruther to visit the Scottish Fisheries Museum where we learn about Scotland’s fishing past and how it shaped our coastal communities. Afterwards, we have time to explore Anstruther before heading north again for time at leisure in the famous town of St Andrews the original home of golf and where Wills met Kate!
Day 3 Verdant Works & Discovery Point – Suggested Driver’s Day Off
This morning, we take a visit to Verdant Works Museum to discover the story of Dundee’s industrial heritage and social history. Located in a beautifully refurbished Mill building, we will hear the stories of the city’s mill workers and their tough lives and see the machines at work which made the city such an important industrial focal point. This afternoon, we visit Discovery Point, the award-winning attraction which tells the story of RRS Discovery and Captain Scott’s amazing Antarctic expedition.
Day 4 Glamis Castle & Newton Farm
This morning, we start the day with a guided tour of Angus’ famous Glamis Castle. With so many stories to tell, the tour will take us on a fascinating 650-year-old journey through Scottish history. Welcoming famous playwrights to royalty, it was the birthplace of the late Queen Mother. This afternoon, we enjoy a guided tour of Newton Farm. A family-run working farm in rural Angus, where we meet farmer Lou. We discover what daily life is like on a Scottish farm and have the opportunity to pet & feed the animals. We round off our visit with some home baked treats & tea/coffee.
Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we begin our journey home.
