Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Inishowen Peninsula Scenic Drive & Doagh Famine Village
Today is all about scenery, as we take a scenic drive around the Inishowen Peninsula. Dubbed ‘Inishowen 100’ it marks the start of the mighty Wild Atlantic Way and is Ireland’s largest peninsula, flanked by Lough Foyle on the east and Lough Swilly on the west. We take in the spectacular views as we pass magnificent beaches, charming Irish villages and enjoy a stop at the most northernly point, Malin Head. In the afternoon, we visit unique animal sanctuary, Wild Ireland on the Inishowen Peninsula. Guests will rediscover Ireland’s lost wildlife in an ancient rainforest, getting up close and personal with the likes of brown bears, wolves, lynx and wild boar!

Day 3 Glenveagh National Park & Leisurely Afternoon at Our Hotel
Today, we make our way to the spectacular Glenveagh National Park. We visit the award-winning Visitor Centre and marvel at the beautiful Glenveagh Castle. Positioned beautifully on the edge of Lough Veagh, we can also explore the castle’s charming courtyards, Walled Garden, Pleasure Grounds and Woodland Gardens. We make an early afternoon return to our hotel, giving us plenty of time to make the most of our wonderful base which offers relaxation and the chance to soak up the fabulous surroundings. For those who have the legs for it, a walk to the spectacular beach nearby is well worth the effort.
Day 4 Derry & Peacemakers Museum
This morning, we travel to Derry, Ireland’s only intact historic Walled City with its award-winning museums and of course famous for the TV programme the Derry Girls! We enjoy a self-guided tour of the fascinating and newly opened Peacemakers Museum, dedicated to how the North of Ireland moved from decades of violent conflict to the peace, residents enjoy today. Afterwards, we will have free time for lunch in one of the city’s cafés or pubs before returning to our hotel. On our return, why not add on a visit of Brook Hall Estate & Gardens – a 2-hour private guided tour exploring the history and heritage of the build and natural demesne of Brook Hall, told through the stories of the people, place, and lives of those who have come before us.
Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
