This scenic tour takes in beautiful Killarney and its stunning National Park, the fabulous Dingle Peninsula and the spectacular Ring of Kerry. Not only is the area’s breathtaking natural landscape an attraction in itself, but it is also home to some of Ireland’s most popular tourist attractions, including the characterful Killarney jaunting car horse and carriage rides.

PACKAGED ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Jaunting Car Ride & Killarney
We begin our day in style as we step back in time and experience one of Ireland’s most traditional modes of transport, a jaunting car horse and carriage ride. After seeing more of Killarney and the beautiful National Park from this unique perspective, we then spend the rest of the day at leisure in the town centre, discovering more of the area’s famed scenery and history and enjoying a spot of lunch at one of the lovely eateries.

NB: This day can also be a driver’s day off with the hotel offering a shuttle service to Killarney centre.

Day 3 Dingle Peninsula & Dingle Dolphin Cruise
We enjoy a scenic drive along the breathtaking Wild Atlantic Way this morning en route to the colourful town of Dingle. We enjoy the stunning scenery and stop at beautiful Inch Beach, which has featured in various famous films, to take in its 4 miles of beautiful sands and views over Dingle Bay and the mountains of Kerry. On arrival in Dingle, the charming “capital” of the Dingle Peninsula, we head down to the main pier from where we enjoy a harbour and dolphin cruise. We hear about the story of Dingle Bay and its people on our cruise taking in the magnificent scenery. We have free time for lunch in Dingle and a stroll around this bustling authentic Irish town full of pubs, quaint shops and eateries.

Day 4 Ring of Kerry Scenic Drive
Today, we experience a stunning drive around the mystical and unspoilt Ring of Kerry, one of the most spectacular circular driving routes in Ireland. The drive provides us with an insight into the area’s ancient heritage and allows us to marvel at the fantastic views of its stunning scenery. During our journey, we spend time at leisure in the elegant seaside town of Kenmare, the jewel in the Ring of Kerry.

Day 5 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.

Located 1 mile from Killarney town centre, the excellent Gleneagle is one of Killarney’s largest hotels and overlooks the mountains of Killarney National Park. All 287 bedrooms are modern with a bright colour scheme and equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The large, traditional restaurant has plenty of natural daylight and there is a large bar with plenty of seating where entertainment takes place, as well as a smaller, more relaxed bar and a few quiet lounge areas.
