Listen to the story of a mill girl from 1820 during the Annie McLeod Experience, see working textile machinery, enjoy the views from the imaginatively designed roof garden and explore the Millworkers’ House, The Village Store and Robert Owen’s House and School. The Mill Shop offers a selection of delightful gifts and Scottish produce including wool which is spun on site.

In the morning, we visit the Falkirk Wheel for a guided tour and journey on the world’s first and only rotating boat lift, an incredible feat of engineering and a famous Scottish landmark. It was designed and built to connect the Forth & Clyde Canal and the Union Canal which allows coast to coast navigation across central Scotland. In the afternoon, we head for the impressive city of Stirling to visit Stirling Castle. One of Scotland’s most important fortifications, Mary Queen of Scots was crowned here in 1543. We can wander through its Great Hall, elegant Chapel Royal, Great Kitchens and marvel at the intricate Stirling Tapestries.
