Day 2 Royal Opera House, Covent Garden & London Transport Museum
This morning, we leave our hotel and head for Covent Garden where the prestigious Royal Opera House is located to immerse ourselves in the Royal ballet and opera scene – a behind-the-scenes tour. A fascinating insight, we’ll visit areas not normally seen by the general public like the rehearsal rooms, costumes and production workshops. Afterwards, we will have time to explore Covent Garden’s historical landmarks, endless shops and the buzzing Plaza where opera singers and acrobats keep visitors entertained. This afternoon, we will visit the London Transport Museum for an historical look at urban transport with galleries of vintage London trams, trains and buses.
Why not add another behind the scenes experience with the ‘Hidden London Tour at Piccadilly Circus Tube Station’? Opened originally in 1906 and later modernised in the 1920s, the tour includes hidden access to the remnants of the original Edwardian design features. Discover the vital role the station played and uncover the contributions made by women during WWII.
Day 3 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
