Quilting Break
Lose yourself in the beautiful task of creating a quilt. Suitable for people with all levels of experience, the retreat will see guests using machine piercing with hand applique and covering various techniques that will make each quilt individual.
- Meet & greet first afternoon/evening.
- Each day starts at 9.30 am for a full day of quilting.
- The leader will provide demos and help with techniques throughout the week.
- Please note that guests will need to bring basic sewing supplies and their own sewing machine and fabric.
Mah Jong Break
For those who don’t already know, Mah Jong is a sociable game that can be played across the generations. It’s a game that combines skill, strategy and lots of luck!
- Mah Jong lessons on 3 half-day morning sessions where you’ll learn all about the background of the game, get to know the set, the tiles and the racks.
- A tutor will show you how to set up, score and play a basic game.
Knitting Break
Experienced knitters, those looking to simply improve their skills, and knitters travelling alone are all warmly welcomed. Develop your knitting skills, make new friends, or simply broaden your travel horizons.
- Meet & greet first afternoon/evening.

- The leader will provide demos and help with techniques throughout the week.

Bridge break for improvers
This break is suitable for anyone wishing to improve their bridge, from recent beginners to club players. The emphasis throughout is on learning and improving, so all play is supervised and non-competitive.
- Bite-sized seminars throughout are single topic
- Supervised play will be Chicago-style.
- 3 x ½ hour each morning
- 3 x 2-hour afternoon session plays
- 3 x 1.5 hours evening sessions after dinner
Bridge Break for experienced players
This competitive bridge break is for experienced players who are looking to break away from the prize giving and tuition.

The hotel’s 90 comfortable bedrooms offer a homely feel with excellent fittings and are equipped with a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. There is a large, bright restaurant and an open plan lounge which both offer panoramic sea views and there is also a modern bar and sun terrace.
