Itinerary

PACKAGED ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.

Day 2 Inishowen Peninsula Scenic Drive & Wild Ireland
Today is all about scenery, as we take a scenic drive around the Inishowen Peninsula. Dubbed ‘Inishowen 100’ it marks the start of the mighty Wild Atlantic Way and is Ireland’s largest peninsula, flanked by Lough Foyle on the east and Lough Swilly on the west. We take in the spectacular views as we pass magnificent beaches, charming Irish villages and enjoy a stop at the most northernly point, Malin Head. In the afternoon, we visit the unique wildlife park, Wild Ireland on the Inishowen Peninsula. Guests will rediscover Ireland’s lost wildlife in an ancient rainforest, getting up close and personal with the likes of brown bears, wolves, lynx and wild boar!

Day 3 Glenveagh National Park & Leisurely Afternoon at Our Hotel
Today, we make our way to the spectacular Glenveagh National Park. We visit the award-winning Visitor Centre and marvel at the beautiful Glenveagh Castle. Positioned beautifully on the edge of Lough Veagh, we can also explore the castle’s charming courtyards, Walled Garden, Pleasure Grounds and Woodland Gardens. We make an early afternoon return to our hotel, giving us plenty of time to make the most of our wonderful base which offers relaxation and the chance to soak up the fabulous surroundings. For those who have the legs for it, a walk to the spectacular beach nearby is well worth the effort.

Day 4 Derry & Muff Liquor
Today we travel to Derry for free time to explore Ireland’s only intact historic Walled City with its award-winning museums and of course famous for the TV programme, the Derry Girls. In the afternoon, we visit the Muff Liquor Company for a tour and Irish Coffee Demonstration. We learn the history of this distillery from the humble potato farmer moonshine origins to an award-winning spirit producer.
