Day 1 Arrival
We arrive at our hotel, with the evening at leisure.
Day 2 Coronation Street Experience & Salford Quays Cruise
This morning we head to the ITV Coronation Street Experience where we have a behind-the-scenes tour of Manchester’s most famous street. There’s more to see on the cobbles than ever before! Spot the street’s most recognisable places and experience the famous northern cheer as we explore the iconic outdoor set, props and costumes, including the two-storey Weatherfield Precinct set. At the new purpose-built Visitor’s Centre, we have access to the Coronation Street Exhibition with meticulously crafted replica sets of iconic landmarks like Roy’s Rolls and the legendary Rovers Return. It’s complete with official Coronation Street store, café and cinema space, offering a nostalgic look back at 60 years of Corrie history. After this, we will hop aboard a city river tour and enjoy a 60-minute round-trip river cruise through Salford Quays and the historic Manchester Ship Canal. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or rediscovering your city, this sightseeing tour offers a fresh, unforgettable view of Manchester’s industrial past and dynamic present. Commentary will guide you through the stories behind the canal, its iconic structures, and the landmarks that shaped the city’s skyline.
Day 3 RHS Bridgewater & Manchester
This morning, we make our way to the beautiful RHS Bridgewater and explore the gardens. Including Weston Walled Garden, one of the UK’s largest Victorian walled gardens, now divided into themed areas including a Paradise Garden, Kitchen Garden, Wellbeing Garden and Chinese Streamside Garden. Before we leave, be sure to enjoy lunch in one of the eateries including the Bridgewater Café offering fresh, seasonal food overlooking Moon Bridge Water. We have the afternoon & evening at leisure in Manchester.
Day 4 Departure
After breakfast, we make our way home.
