We arrive at our hotel in time for dinner.
Day 2 Sheppy’s House of Cider & West Somerset Railway
An earlier start today as we head to Sheppy’s House of Cider for a guided tour behind the scenes of Somerset’s oldest cidermaker families, including a visit to the orchards, a vat house and the press house. The tour ends in the rural life museum where you will find many historical artefacts from farm tools to old cider presses. You will then enjoy a cider tasting with one of the guides. We then head to Bishops Lydeard to board the West Somerset Railway for a one-way journey with lunch to Minehead. On arrival to Minehead, why not explore the fishing quarter and historic harbour or visit the selection of independent shops in the town centre. (Please note: the above train is based on the 2025 timetables and therefore changes may apply).
Day 3 Wells & Weston-super-Mare
This morning, we travel to Wells, the smallest City in England, which offers numerous historical marvels such as the famous 14th century Astronomical Clock, The Bishop’s Palace and of course, the outstanding cathedral. There is also the award-winning Somerset Farmers’ Market which is held every Wednesday (9.00am to 2.30pm) before taking lunch and heading back to the lovely seaside town of Weston-super-Mare; walk along the Grand Pier and admire the stunning views before visiting the refurbished Weston Museum.

We have free time in the welcoming city of Cardiff to explore its wide range of attractions and discover more of its history and culture. Or enjoy some shopping by strolling around the city’s ornate Victorian arcades with many independent shops and cafés.
